HEATHER HILL ENDORSES JOSH THRONEBURG FOR CD-5
FORMER CHARLOTTESVILLE COUNCILOR CITES THRONEBURG’S PASSION AND COMMITMENT
Charlottesville, VA – Josh Throneburg, Democratic candidate for Virginia’s Fifth District U.S. Representative, announced today that his campaign was endorsed by former Charlottesville Vice Mayor and City Councilor Heather Hill.
Hill, a community leader and education advocate, said her endorsement was based on Josh’s commitment to a lifelong system of strong public education.
“As a daughter of a retired elementary school teacher, product of public schools, and parent to three students in Charlottesville City Schools, I share Josh’s commitment to supporting a strong public education system,” Hill said. “Josh recognizes the importance of investing in our youngest of learners as well as providing a variety of options for students coming out of high school that best meet their needs while setting them up for the greatest success in the workplace. Josh is the passionate, committed, and collaborative leader we need to represent the 5th District on education and so much more.”
“Heather exemplifies what it is to be an engaged public citizen. Besides her time on Council, she has dedicated so much effort to making Charlottesville work better: she’s been a PTO parent, she’s done critical work to sustain the Shelter for Help in Emergency and she’s even helped fix the Belmont Bridge,” Josh said. “Her commitment to making Charlottesville a fairer, safer, more equitable city is an inspiration, and I’m so honored to have her support.”
Josh resides in the City of Charlottesville with his wife, Minhee, and their daughters, Agnes and Lucy. He is an ordained minister and local small business owner.
